Lagom Workstation

  • ABOUT

We’ve all been guilty of spending a day sitting on our sofa, awkwardly balancing our laptop on our knees, attempting to complete whatever task is due next, only to be distracted by whatever day-time TV rerun is on.

Despite it seeming like an easy option, working  in a communal space, such as your kitchen or living room, can be having a negative impact on your studies and overall grades. This is due to these communal spaces often being noisy and full of distractions.

Working from your own desk, in a quiet space, allows you to settle down and completely focus. Whether you set yourself study time restrictions or you power through until your work is complete, a desk encourages you to create a study area that is productive and will help you see results.

Without a desk, many proffessionals often choose to work from the comfort of their sofa or bed. However, working from these places, rather than a desk, are likely to be impacting your energy levels, as well as your sleep pattern – both of which are key to succeeding with your studies.

This workstation has been designed for professionals working from home inspired by scandinavian modernism.

Scandinavian design is marked by a focus on clean, simple lines, minimalism, and functionality without sacrificing beauty.

For people unused to working from home it can become extremely daunting to deliver on their work in the new environment. Bad habits and poor practices can also take a toll on their mental and physical health.

Working professionals need a designated work space where they can work for longer hours at a stretch enhancing their productivity.

As consumer expects the furniture to last around 10 to 12  years and more , the workstation is made with solid seasoned timber making the workstation durable .

While designing this workstation my focus was on ergonomics as it helps in retaining the comfortable posture.

This workstation fulfills Professionals need to carve out an aesthetic and presentable corner for work and video calls, which could allow uninterrupted and peaceful WFH experience.
